MARINA BAY SANDS

MBS Singapore was founded by the Las Vegas Sands company in 2006. It is the first Integrated Resort in Singapore, and endorsed by the Singapore government to further Singapore’s economy.

MBS sought to achieve the ‘Leadership In Energy and Environmental Design’ (LEED) Platinum Standard. For this, they required calculations of their carbon footprint and then use select Carbon Credits to offset these emissions. These sources would be included in their Scope 2 Emissions such as electricity, hot water, chilled water production, and natural gas.

MBS chose CRX based on our qualifications which include our means to procure Carbon Credits from multiple international sources. These projects were to be Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs), or Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) purchased from overseas projects, and preferably through a Singaporean company.

MBS perform offsetting as part of their corporate social strategy and are committed to meeting their emissions balances year on year, for which CRX is a dedicated partner.
